I don't want to see it because it looks stupid.

My impression, though, is that it is supposed to be a religious version of "Borat," so yeah, a bunch of easy targets tricked into participating into a movie where they are made fun of.

CCChalicechickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07781469958573869914noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20795009.post-21160207765412995982008-10-14T17:33:00.000-04:002008-10-14T17:33:00.000-04:00Congregations anything but welcoming to God believ...Congregations anything but welcoming to God believing people in general and Christians in particular.Robin Edgarhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06208142626285495635noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20795009.post-21713441496353567612008-10-14T17:30:00.000-04:002008-10-14T17:30:00.000-04:00Actually I have heard* that Bill Maher is seriousl...Actually I have heard* that Bill Maher is seriously considering becoming a "Humanist" U*U minister Joel. Maybe he will run for UUA President one day. It seems that he may not be the only outspoken Atheist Supremacist "Humanist" to ever do so. . .

To be fair I was pleasantly surprised to see one prominent U*U minister, Rev. Debra Haffner, quite eloquently express her disappointment at what she terms the "religophobia" in Bill Maher's 'Religulous' on her Sexuality and Religion: What's the Connection? blog after seeing it recently. I may even commend her for doing so on the Emerson Avenger blog. Of course I don't know quite what she was expecting from 'Religulous' other than overt ridicule of religious people of various kinds. Now if only she and other U*U ministers could be as outspoken about the 'religophobia' that is practiced by the Atheist Supremacist faction of "Humanist" U*Us throughout the U*U World and makes too many U*U "Welcoming . . .

*Actually I haven't *really* heard that Bill Maher plans to become a "Humanist" U*U minister. I'm just being a tad sarcastic. I wouldn't want anyone to think that I was tricking them.Robin Edgarhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06208142626285495635noreply@blogger.com
